FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT PERMIT

As a property owner of a participating community, any building, remodeling, landscaping, dirt work, planting, etc. in the floodplain requires an approved development permit from the City of Parkston Floodplain Administrator prior to construction.  Why is this permit necessary?  The City of Parkston is required to manage any changes in the floodplain.  The proposed construction can not increase the height of the base flood elevation.  Click on the link below to obtain a copy of the City of Parkston's development permit.
